The Concrete

To guarantee an optimal distribution of the steel fibres in the concrete, a constant survey of the following parameters is necessary:

  • the concrete fluidity
  • its composition
  • its grading curve

The optimisation of these three factors is only achievable in a very narrow zone. It is not only due to the suitable choice of a steel fibre and knowledge of its behaviour, but also to the strict control of its matrix that one can obtain a steel fibre reinforced concrete showing maximum resistance to

  • flexural strength
  • shear strength
  • fatigue strength
