Jointless SFRC suspended floor slabs
The growing demand for development sites has seen more and more attention turning to brownfield sites – and Twintec has been at the forefront of developing the new suspended floor slab techniques required to achieve good long-term performance of floor slabs on poor ground.
With our Freeplan S® system, we have become market leaders in the design and installation of steel fibre reinforced concrete suspended floor slabs.
Twintec is able to produce ground floor slabs supported on piles, as well as complex foundations using steel fibre reinforced concrete, without the need for additional rebar and or heavy steel mesh. This is accomplished by using concrete reinforced with structural steel fibres that have been specially developed and tested for structural applications and with dosage rages from 40-50 kg/m3.
We offer a complete design service provided by professional engineers who are able to advise on the best overall scheme, including pile types, pile spacing and other interfaces, such as edge beams. Twintec engineers should be consulted at the earliest stage of your project to enable them to deliver an optimal design solution to suit your requirements.

Dry-shake Topping
All Twintec jointless steel fibre reinforced floor slabs have a Twintop dry-shake topping.
Twintop is a factory blended dry-shake topping incorporating ultra durable aggregates, cement and pigment. Available in a range of grades and colours (standard and metallic), it creates a superior hard-wearing surface with abrasion resistance up to 20 times that of quality powder floated concrete. The result is a long-life, low-maintenance floor for industrial and retail applications that will probably outlast the building.
