Concrete
To guarantee uniform distribution of steel fibers in the concrete, it is necessary to control:
- concrete fluidity
- concrete composition
- concrete grading curve
- fiber addition to the concrete
The optimisation of these three factors is only achievable in a very narrow zone.
The correct choice of steel fiber and the knowledge of its behaviour, together with strict control of its matrix, obtains a steel fiber reinforced concrete with maximum:
- flexural strength
- shear strength
- fatigue resistance
- shrinkage control
- elimination of sawn induced contraction joints.
